Before departure to the airport!

1. Check the following documents:

  • international passport;
  • a voucher;
  • an insurance policy;
  • an air ticket;
  • if required, a power of attorney for the child care and a certificate of birth.

We recommend you to take a photocopy of the international and Russian passports, a certificate of birth, if you fly with your child.

2. Check the airport and departure time.

Check-in starts 3 hours before your plane leaves airports: Vnukovo, Domodedovo and Sheremetyevo, and ends 40 minutes before departure (VKO - Vnukovo, DME - Domodedovo, SVO - Sheremetyevo).

At the airport:

At registration you are given a boarding pass which is necessary kept till the end of the flight. It is necessary to take note of number of Departure Gate and Time.

After passing registration and the announcement of the commence the landing procedure it is necessary to pass in the corresponding zones for the international flights.

Passengers of the international flights pass customs surveillance and passport control, and also safety monitoring following which they expect a flight departure in secure zone in gallery of the international air lines . When passing control the international passport and a boarding pass are presented for examination. If you are carrying animals or plants, you have to pass the phytocontrol or the veterinary control.

Rules of Pre-flight and Post-flight Inspection.

In compliance with Annex 1 of Rules of Pre-flight and Post-flight Inspection, approved by the Order № 104 of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation, dated July 25 2007, the following dangerous items and substances are prohibited for air transportation on board of aircraft by passengers in checked and cabin baggage:

  • explosives;
  • explosive materials and items, stuffed with such substances;
  • Compressed gas and gas liquids;
  • Highly inflammable liquids;
  • Inflammable solid materials;
  • Oxidants and organic peroxides;
  • Toxic substances;
  • Radioactive materials;
  • Caustic and corrosive substances;
  • Toxic and poisonous substances;
  • Weapons.

Airport, airline, operator management have the right to take additional aviation security measures on increased danger flights and prohibit the following items for cabin baggage:

  • cockscrews;
  • needles for hypodermic injections (without medical validation documents);
  • knitting pins;
  • scissors with blade length less, than 60 mm;
  • folding and penknives with blade length less, than 60 mm.

Rules of air transportation of cabin baggage.

All liquids not referring to dangerous items, not exceeding 100 ml, with total volume not exceeding 1 liter per passengers, packed in tightly sealed transparent plastic bag.

Each passenger has the right to carry out only one such bag.

Plastic bag must be sealed up.

Among the liquids are:

  • Perfumes
  • Shaving Foam
  • Deodorants
  • Gels
  • Sprays
  • Shampoo
  • Lotions
  • Creams
  • Pastes, including toothpaste
  • Oils
  • Mascara
  • Beverages
  • Liquid foods
  • Syrups and others

Medicines, infant food which may be needed during the flight are accepted in the cabin baggage as an exception but they must also be presented at airports security check points.

The new rules only apply to carry-on baggage. Liquids can still be carried in check-in baggage, carry the listed substances in luggage. You can, however, purchase beverages and perfumes at the duty-free shops in these airports. If drinks are sold in specially sealed up packing, don't break its integrity before inspection – otherwise contents of packing can be confiscated at inspection on point of special control.

At customs control officials have the right to:

  • Check the documents;
  • Conducted customs examination of goods or personal examination (in exceptional cases);
  • Take stock of goods;
  • Hold an oral interrogation;

The personal examination can be carried out under the decision of the customs body chief or the official being his deputy if there are reasons to surmise, that a physical person has on himself and does not voluntary give out goods being objects of law violation.

“Green Corridor” System.

The entrance place in «green corridor» and an exit is designated by inscriptions «Green channel» and «Nothing to declare» in Russian and English languages.

Conveyance of Goods across the line “green coridor” at the entrance is considered as a statement that moved the currency and goods don’t belong to subject to mandatory written declaring and the absence of unaccompanied baggage. The passenger customs declaration isn't filled and submitted. Custom control is carried out selectively.

“Red Corridor” System

The entrance place in «red corridor» and an exit is designated by inscriptions «Red corridor» and «Goods to declare» in Russian and English languages.

“Red corridor” is intended or declaring of currency and/or the goods in accompanied baggage subjected to mandatory written declaring and the absence of unaccompanied baggage.

Clearance of Passenger customs declaration is in form TD-6 and presented to the customs authority, together with the documents required for customs purposes.

EXPORT of the currency in cash and traveler’s checks from the Russian Federation.

Without the presentation of documents and introduction of database about the currency in the passenger customs declaration, individuals have the right to carry out foreign currency in cash and / or the currency of the Russian Federation to an amount up to the equivalent of 3000 US dollars.

APLICATION of PROHIBITIONS and restrictions concerning THE GOODS for a private use. TRANSFERRING of the goods through customs border of Russian Federation. When transferred across the customs border by any means:

  • Information that contains confidential information, trade secrets, private data, on print, audiovisual and other information media that is prohibited from being exported /imported and for transfer
  • Service and civilian weapons, their main parts and ammunition prohibited from being exported/ imported and for transfer; - Hazardous wastes prohibited or limited from being exported / imported and for transfer across the customs border;
  • Special technical devices designed for secret obtaining of information, export/import of which into the customs territory is limited. - Poisonous substances, which are not precursors of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, limited for transfer across the customs border.
  • Narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances and their precursors, except for limited amounts of drugs and psychotropic substances in the form of pharmaceutical products for personal use for medical reasons upon availability of appropriate documentation, as well as precursors in amounts determined by laws;
  • Organs and (or) human tissue, blood and its components limited for transfer across the customs border, when imported and (or) exported;

When exported by any means:

  • Waste and scrap of ferrous and nonferrous metals included in the list of goods, with respect to which quantitative restrictions are set, when exported and (or) imported;
  • Raw precious metals, scrap and waste of precious metals, ores and concentrates of precious metals and raw commodities that contain precious metals, export of which from the customs territory of the customs union is limited.
  • Mineral raw materials (natural rough stones) limited for transfer across the customs border, when exported.

  • Information on mineral resources limited for transfer across the customs border, when exported.

  • Wild medicinal raw materials (plants, parts of plants, seeds, fruits) limited for transfer across the customs border, when exported, in excess of three samples of one type of these goods.

  • Wildlife live animals and certain wild plants limited for transfer across the customs border, when exported (except for hunting and fishing trophies), in excess of three samples of one type of these goods.

When imported by any means:

  • Ozone depleting substances prohibited from being imported;
  • Plant protection products prohibited from being imported, falling within the scope of appendixes A and B of the Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants on 22 May 2001;
  • Tools for extraction (catch) of aquatic biological resources prohibited from being imported;
  • Ethyl alcohol and alcoholic products, totaling to more than 5 liters per person of over 18 years of age;
  • More than 200 cigarettes or 50 cigar, or 250 grams of tobacco, or the specified items in a set with total weight of over 250 grams per person under 18 years of age.

THE LIST OF GOODS for personal use LIMITED for TRANSFER into the customs territory OF Russian Federation. When transferred across the customs border by any means:

  • Encryption (cryptographic) means, import and export of which is limited.
  • Ozone depleting substances limited for transfer across the customs border, when imported and exported;
  • Limited amounts of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances in the form of pharmaceutical products for personal use for medical reasons upon availability of appropriate documentation, as well as precursors in amounts determined by laws;
  • Service and civilian weapons, their main parts and ammunition limited for import / export and transit;

When imported by any means:

  • Radio-electronic means and (or) high frequency devices for civilian purposes, including built-in ones or included in other goods, limited for import.

When exported by any means:

  • Collections and collectors' items in mineralogy and paleontology limited for transfer across the customs border, when exported.
  • Species of wild fauna and flora falling within the scope of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora, CITES on 3 March 1973, limited for transfer across the customs border, when exported.
  • Rare and endangered species of wild animals and wild plants, their parts and (or) the derivatives included in the Red Book of the Russian Federation, limited for transfer across the customs border, when exported;
  • Documents of national archives, originals of archival documents limited for transfer across the customs border, when exported
  • Cultural values.
