Milan is the second large city in Italy. It is an industrial, commercial and banking center of the country. There are world-famous fashion shows; exhibitions design and trade fairs. In this old city there are a lot of historical and cultural monuments. You can visit one of the best-known opera theaters of the world - "La Scala", you’ll admire the collection of ancient works of art in Sforzesco Castle, see Basilica of Sant'Ambrogio.

In Brera's Art Gallery (Pinacoteca Brera) there is the most significant a collection of paintings in Northern Italy after Academy Gallery’s collection in Venice. Though the museum was founded in the XVIII century, its exhibits, for the most part had been gathered by Napoleon: pictures and ornaments of the churches and palaces all over Italy to collect a worthy collection in Milan, in the city which he wanted to make the capital assumed "the Cisalpine republic". There are more than 2000 works of art here. Painting of the XV-XVIII centuries is especially fully presented. This canvas belongs to almost all painters of The Venetian School of Painting.
