The International Youth Camp “Albatross” - Kranevo, Bulgaria

Location:

The International Youth Camp is located near Kranevo, Bulgaria which is approximately 20 kilometres from Varna and the Black Sea. Small streets with many cozy cafes and souvenir shops give the resort a unique charm. Shady green of the national park, the beautiful warm sea, and the wide sandy beaches – that’s all make recreation unforgettable for children.

Kranevo resort is located between Golden Sands and Albena. In the village of Kranevo one will find a combination of warm atmosphere, national color, warmth and tranquility. We have offered the kids to spend their vacation in this camp for seven years and the children leave favourable reviews every year.

Accommodation:

The camp offers Triple and Qdpl rooms with conveniences. Standard Rooms with balconies have regular beds, night desk, a writing desk, a deposit box, a refrigerator and a satellite TV. The hotel is provided round the clock with hot and cold water. Shift of bed-clothes once a week. Clean-up daily.

Tour leader gathers a group up to 15 children. Each tour leader has own storage vault for children’s documents and money. Tour leader have a mobile phone to connect with parents. You can learn daily about the life of the camp on the official site.

For parents wishing to relax next to their child, we offer accommodation in the hotel “Crystal Park***”, in single or double rooms with all conveniences. There is a refrigerator, an air conditioner and a satellite TV.

F&B "all inclusive" includes five meals a day at a buffet restaurant. Drinking mineral water is available round the clock. You are also offered fruit drinks, herbal and iced tea.

All Inclusive F&B program operates buffet in the restaurant including breakfast and brunch till 10:30, lunch, afternoon snack, dinner and evening soup with croutons. Beverages are served during meal in the restaurant. Drinking water is available round the clock as you’ll find cooler water near the reception.

* An outdoor swimming pool "Albatross" (10х20 х1,5) with an water park (total length slides over 200m);

* For training sports teams may also use pool 50x20x2,2, with 8 lanes, which is located next to the camp. The cost of 1 lane is 42 euros /an hour;

* football field (25x50) covered with artificial grass carpet – rattan;

* volleyball (10x15) and basketball court (10x25) covered with concrete;

* two computer rooms with 10 and 12 computers;

* restaurant, bar, coffee shop;

* disco;

* indoor dance hall (15x6) with ceiling height of 3.1m is covered with wooden floor. Dance hall is available for performances according schedule at free of charge.

* two open-air stages with wooden floor (12x6 and 17x10) is the place where daily evening shows and an annual international festival-competition “Slavianskiy Venets” (Slavic Crown) are held;

Only 200 meters of walking separate the camp from a wide landscaped beach with clean golden sand. The sea bottom is relatively smooth and flat with the depth gradually increasing toward the sea centre. This area is protected by Life Guard Service. If you need sunny umbrellas, you should get them at the reception.

Animation program:

We offer our little guest to spend their vacation in amazing world of fun. Arriving in the "Albatross", children will be plunged into an atmosphere of unlimited creativity and imagination.

Workshops will help each child fulfill their potential:

-in school of dance art. Choreographer will teach your children to distinguish waltz from polka, to learn new exercises for stretching out. They will have opportunity to learn dancing Latin, salsa, The merengue (the national dance of the Dominican Republic). Choreographer will make a bright dance for stage performances;

- in fine art studio you can learn not only the basics of artistic skills, but also learn the secrets of quilling, pottery, stained glass, modeling of onstage dress, handicrafts items made of natural material. After creative work little guests may take their masterpiece created by own hands off as a souvenir.

- gym instructor will teach participants how to play water polo. They also hold on water aerobics classes and organize camping trip and tournaments in team sports.

Even the youngest guests of "Albatross" will find something shaped of their heart. Primary-school-aged children experts spend a lot of time with them.

Evening show time is the apotheosis of bright exciting day. Animation team demonstrates the achievements of the day, draws up the results of the circles and sections. Finally, the brightest "star" of the international children's camp will be awarded.

In most camps, the adult supervisors are called counselors, but another name may be "cabin leader". Counselors are assigned to smaller groups of campers, called "bunks", "huts", "cabins", or "units", who participate in activities as a group.

To participate in the program of the camp children from different groups come together in a "radio station", headed by the director - a leader who is chosen by the children themselves. All radio stations are active members of the "Albatross FM"
